Episode 3 - Split Screen

Let's create a cool split screen in Premiere Pro.

Step 1.

Let's go. Go to Effects and type in Crop.

Step 2.

Drop the effect onto your clips and head on over to the effects control panel.

Step 3.

Adjust positioning to fit your desired look. I'm going to go for landscape.

Step 4.

Set the bottom and top number to equal 50%.

So 25% on top and 25% on bottom.

Do this for both clips.

Step 5.

Move your second clip on the timeline to the second layer and adjust the positioning of both clips.

Step 6.

Select your pen tool and draw a line down the middle of your clips.

Make sure the effect on your timeline matches your clip duration.

Step 7.

In the effects control, select shape and make sure both your fill and stroke is selected.

You can then adjust the colour and size of the shape to however you like.
